Conner Gweedo Memorial Foundation
Joseph Conner Williams Guido, aka “Gweedo” to all of his friends died tragically at age 16 in an automobile crash on October 26, 2019. An annual Gweedo Scholarship will be given out to a graduating Senior through local fundraising efforts. Generous donations will be used to educate upcoming teenage drivers, and their parents on safe driving practices.

The Christopher King Foundation was created by Christopher’s mom after his tragic loss in a car crash due to a distracted driver. Christopher’s legacy inspires us to educate young people about the importance of wearing seat belts and the dangers of distracted driving. Through partnerships with organizations like the VDDC, Drive Safe Hampton Roads, YOVASO, Drive Smart Virginia, DMV and the Conner Gweedo Memorial Foundation, and our own outreach programs, we empower communities to make safe choices behind the wheel.
